Meet Courtney

With over 11 years of experience as a meeting planner and countless more being a hopeless romantic, Courtney plans every wedding and special event she undertakes with a balance of joie de vivre, impeccable organization, and diligence. Not only is she dedicated to ensuring your wedding visions come to life, but she genuinely looks forward to executing event logistics from the big picture down to the smallest details, a trait that has earned her the nickname “Eagle Eye” among colleagues.

As her clients’ advocate in lead up to their big day, Courtney encourages couples to hand over their stresses so that they can fully enjoy celebrating every moment with loved ones. She enjoys building friendships with her couples and also developing strong relationships among fellow vendors, so as to be able to provide the very best variety of vetted services available.

In addition to Pearls & Bowties Events, Courtney also serves as meetings manager for a non-profit association whose annual convention—which she takes a lead role in planning and managing—welcomes 8,000 attendees in a different city each year. Courtney earned her CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) designation with the Events Industry Council and is a member of the business events industry’s lead organization, PCMA.

  1. Having trained in ballet growing up, she feels happiest and most alive when she’s dancing—whether that’s shakin’ it in Zumba or performing with her Chinese lion dance troupe. She loves how a dancer’s discipline and sense of orchestration translate seamlessly to her current work!
  2. She has perfected the art of putting out fires on site with a smile—and with very little smoke! Problem solving is her jam.
  3. She is a bit of a foodie—at home you can find her trying new recipes or crafting her popular pineapple margaritas. Sharing a meal? Just be sure to wait for her to snap an IG pic before touching your food!
  4. She lives for the summertime! On any sunny day you can find her kayaking, riding in the first row on rollercoasters, or enjoying the beach with a drink in hand, surrounded by friends and family.
  5. Her favorite chick flicks include “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,” “Miss Congeniality,” and “Crazy Rich Asians”.
